Jack's Bio

Jack Hourigan, the youngest of nine children was born and raised outside of Toronto, Canada. She holds a degree in English/Theatre from McGill University in Montreal and is a graduate of the famed Second City Conservatory. As a member of the resident inaugural Second City Cleveland cast she wrote and performed three shows, Rivercan't or The Trafficantabury Tales, For those about to Iraq and Who's your Baghdadi?. She works with Second City entertainment in Chicago and Toronto.

 

In her spare time, Jack co-hosts The Block on UPN and appears live on pre-game shows for both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Browns on WUAB 43, UPN and CBS 19. Once in awhile, she reports mildly amusing stories for CBS Action News. She can be seen in numerous short films and pilots and the back of her head appears in the Sundance award winning motion picture American Splendor, The Harvey Pekar Story. Jack also appears in Christmas at Maxwell's . As the host of How To Boil Water, she learns basic cooking techniques from her friend Tyler Florence, host of Food 911 and Tyler's Ultimate.

 

To relax, Jack reads anything written by David Sedaris and Steve Martin, listens to NPR and eats a lot of soup. Jack shares a love of the Toronto Maple Leafs with her wonderful son, Spencer.
